Designation of Honor
Fellow of TSGE — FTSGE
The Fellow of TSGE (FTSGE) designation is an honor awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy and to the field of gastroenterology and endoscopy. Fellows may use the FTSGE designation after their name.
A note on the name: FTSGE is a career achievement honor for established physicians — it is not related to fellowship training. If you’re a GI fellow or resident looking for trainee resources, visit Fellows & Residents.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria.
Membership
Active TSGE member in good standing, with dues paid on time, for at least five (5) years beyond completion of training.
Certification
Board certified in adult or pediatric gastroenterology, and licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
Contributions to the Field
Demonstrated significant contributions to gastroenterology, hepatology, nutrition, or gastrointestinal endoscopy, as evidenced by one or more of the following:
•  Scientific or scholarly contributions.
•  Significant contributions to education at the international, national, state or regional level.
•  Leadership contributions at the institutional, local, regional, national or international level.
Service to TSGE
Significant service to the society, defined as either of the following:
•  A minimum of two (2) years of successful service on a TSGE committee and/or the Board of Directors, OR
•  Attendance at at least three (3) TSGE Annual Meetings within the past five (5) years.
Application Requirements
Applications are submitted through the online form. The following must be included:

Two letters of reference
•  One from a TSGE Board member or sponsor.
•  One from a professional colleague.
